My Story

Why are we here? What should we do? What time is it?

In 2001, I earned earned a B.S. in Computer Information Systems at California State University Stanislaus. Around the age of 24, in 2006, I made a drastic change and began attending seminary in hopes of earning a Masters(unfair title) degree in theology. In 2009, I graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary with a Th.M. in Pastoral Ministry.

In 2010, I started as a Youth/Intern Pastor at a small church in Duncanville. This position comes with a lot of hands on experience. I wear many hats, (Associate Pastor, Tech Pastor, Youth Pastor, Administrative Pastor(create power points and bulletins). I have learned a lot about liturgical worship and I am blessed with the opportunity to preach occasionally. I have officiated 2 wedding ceremonies in the last 2 years and look forward to many more.

I have a deep conviction that the Bible is often times misread for all sorts of different reasons. Christianity is often misrepresented to the masses. For me, following Jesus has become more and more provocative throughout the years. For those reasons, I began this blog, to set forth reviews, ideas, post sermons, and thoughts about the way things are.

Please Note: “The author’s thought is a work in progress, one that anticipates change, adaptation and growth of ideas expressed in public. A work in progress–that’s what my blog is. It’s more a testimony of what’s going on in my mind today than what I think should be thought by all people in all times and places. Sometimes the thoughts I post here goes on to be my very belief, other times I make some assertions where I need to think through the doctrinal implications of my statements, or that just may need to be nuanced/worded more precisely.” – Rob Kashow’s blog.
