Some of us don't drink because of the way we were brought up--strict but loving Christian homes with a dose of legalism on the side. It took me quite of few years of adulthood to conclude that drinking alcohol was not a sin in and of itself. I do not condemn or criticize a fellow believer for drinking small amounts of alcohol.

On the other hand, I watched my younger brother slowly kill himself with alcohol addiction and somehow I wished he had never taken that first drink.

I myself manage to sip champagne to toast the happy couple at their wedding, but I've decided wine smells like cat pee, and who wants to drink that?!? :-)

Nardin, I will let the Green and Yellow line slide since I respect the champs. "Christian" music changed my life as well. "Secular" music changed my life as well. I'm not saying "Christian" music is good or bad, I'm saying classifying one sect of music as "Christian" isn't good since there is other music that is not in the "Christian" genre and yet it is Christian. I'm not saying all "Christian" music is bad, I'm making a different point. See the difference?

1) your dad has an excellent taste in music.
2) I wanna know what "christian" songs were played
3) I was once at a point where I was so disgusted with secular artists and their music that I, too, was gonna throw out every CD, Tshirt (concert memorabilia), and poster I had because if they weren't Christian, I wasn't listening to them. Luckily I have a little sister (who is much wiser than I am) who stepped in and said "Relax bro you don't need to be that extreme. What are you gonna do, throw away all your Coldplay stuff and never listen to it again?!?!" Good thing I listened to her because in reality the music I listen to all has a universal message about "God's truth" as you mentioned.

Thank God for little sisters :)

Jesus probably drank wine. In fact he probably drank merlot.

I don't there's anything wrong with drinking alcohol, but then again I don't have the same religious guilt.

I actually wrote a post about Jesus and wine but from a different, historical, wine loving angle - http://www.regularwino.com/history/what-wine-did-jesus-drink/

Comments and ideas welcome.

The Apostle Paul bases his hope on facts: the resurrection of Jesus, the redemption and promise of eternal life we have in Him, and the
temporary nature of all current problems. Lady Gaga has no real hope to rely on, and there will come a time when it's impossible to
"just dance." We should pray for her.

You tell them to read the Bible from cover to cover. Then you pray everyday hoping they will. If they have a true heart inside of them they will change. When people a have faith in God, they don't feel alone anymore.

Here is a video clip young at heart singing "forever young" very moving.
